Water Meter Replacement Program
The City is upgrading all water meters in collaboration with Itron, which is responsible for overseeing the project, and Tribus, which will perform the actual installations. This upgrade is provided at no charge to Wilmington Water customers to ensure accurate billing. If you have not yet been contacted, you will receive an Itron Notice asking you to reach out to Itron for an appointment. All City contractors have been vetted, and every employee who visits your home will be in uniform and display a City-issued photo ID badge.
For inquiries or to schedule appointments, please call Itron customer service at 877-861-0042; appointments are available in the evening and on Saturdays.
Please note, failure to comply may result in a water service interruption (Wilmington City Code Section 45-86).
