As a Water Customer, You Are Responsible for:
- Paying your water bill promptly.
- Providing access for City representatives to read or service your water meter.
- Ensuring your water meter remains in good condition and does not freeze.
- Addressing any water leaks and plumbing issues within your property, including the water pipes connecting your home to the city's water main.
- Maintaining and repairing, if necessary, the sanitary and storm sewer lateral lines from your property to the main sewer line.
- Contacting the Department of Public Works at 311 within city limits, or (302) 576-2620, if:
- You notice any inaccuracies on your bill.
- Your bill shows an estimated or zero reading.
- Your meter is damaged.
- There are hazardous conditions such as leaks or damaged infrastructure (e.g., hydrants, inlets).
- You need to update your address.
